July housing starts, permits adjust lower



PORTLAND, OR ,  (RISI) - Housing starts in July were at a seasonally adjusted annual rate (SAAR) of 965,000, down 11.0% from the revised June estimate of 1,084,000, according to the U.S. Census Bureau and the Department of Housing and Urban Development. The latest figure is 29.6% below the revised July 2007 rate of 1,371,000.
